【报告摘要】

I explain why Sakharov's three conditions are necessary for establishing the baryon asymmetry in the Universe (BAU), taking the electroweak baryogenesis as an example for demonstration. I describe what happens during the first-order electroweak phase transition, starting from the bubble formation that separates the Universe into symmetry broken and unbroken phases, particle collisions with bubble walls in the presence of CP violation source, and to the creation of the BAU under weak sphaleron interactions.

【报告人简介】

李湘楠，中国台湾中研院物理研究所特聘研究员，1992年毕业于纽约州立大学石溪分校。从事微扰量子色动力学和重味夸克物理领域的研究工作，在B介子的非轻子衰变方面，对因子化方法的发展做出了重要贡献。其中单篇论文引用超过500 次的有3篇，成为微扰QCD因子化方法研究B介子非轻子衰变的经典论文；引用超过100 次有20篇。学术荣誉包括：2007年获全球华人物理学会亚洲成就奖，2010年获伊朗科技部Khwarizmi国际奖。
