【报告摘要】
High Voltage CMOS (HVCMOS) detectors are a novel type of CMOS active pixel sensor for detecting ionizing particles, fabricated using CMOS processes with a deep n-well option. Each pixel contains a sensor electrode formed by a deep n-well implanted in a p-type substrate. This technology has found applications in particle physics experiments, electron microscopy, and medical imaging.
This presentation will begin with an introduction to the integrated circuit design flow for such detectors. It will then cover the fundamental concepts of HVCMOS technology, its diverse applications, and present key measurement results.
【报告人简介】
Hui Zhang is currently a vice Professor at the Institute of High Energy Physics, where her work focuses on pixel detector design, chip measurement, and verification using a domestic 55nm high-voltage process. With nearly ten years of professional experience at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, she has specialized in semiconductor detection circuits and high-voltage CMOS sensors, among other areas. She received her M.S. degrees in Integrated Circuits Design from Southeast University in 2013, China. And as exchange student at TUM in 2011, Germany. From 2012 to 2016, she worked as engineering at TKI Automotive GmbH, Infineon AG, and Fraunhofer Institute. She finished her PhD studies in 2021 at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology by obtaining Doctor of Engineering Degree. Collaborating with Prof. Peric, a pioneer in the HVCMOS development, Hui’s focus has primarily been on the design and development of innovative integrated circuits tailored for scientific and medical applications. Hui Zhang has gained wide experience and overview of diverse technologies. Her expertise has translated into significant contributions to over 20 highly complex chip designs.
