【报告摘要】

The LHCb experiment, a general-purpose detector in a forward region, plays a very important part in heavy-flavour measurements. Recently, LHCb reported the first observation of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed Ωc0 → Ω−K+ and Ωc0 → Ξ- pi+ decays using data collected between 2016 and 2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Additionally, them most precise measurement of Ωc0 mass has been peformed improving the precision of the previous world average by a factor of 4.

LHCb was significantly upgraded for LHC Run 3 (2022-2025) and taking data with a five times higher instantaneous luminosity than in Run 2. In order to keep a high performance and a broad physics programme of LHCb, the Run 3 trigger system is now a full software trigger with a first stage fully implemented using GPUs and with CPU-based second stage. Development, properties and testing of the new trigger system will be described together with a relevant performance achieved in 2022 and 2023. Ideas for future developments will be also discussed.

【报告人简介】

Miroslav Saur obtained his BSc. and MSc. degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague where he participated at the STAR experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratory. In 2017, he joined the LHCb collaboration as a PhD student at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences graduating in 2020. Subsequently was a postdoctoral researcher at TU Dortmund from October 2020 to September 2022 focusing on development of fully software trigger for LHCb. In October 2022 joined LHCb group at Peking University as a Boya postdoctoral researcher.

Main physics interests are CP violation studied of mesons and baryons in charm and beauty sector, decay asymmetries of baryons and forbidden decays. Heavily involved in the Real Time Analysis project at LHCb from 2019, he is contributing to a various aspects of High Level Trigger development, especially testing, monitoring, persistency and online selection. Additional interest is in general high throughput computing with a focus on a real time data processing.
